Manchester-formed alternative rock band James, established in 1982, is celebrated for anthemic melodies and enduring live performances. Known for hits like "Sit Down" and "Laid," their distinctive sound blends indie pop and rock. They achieved a UK Official Album Chart Number 1 with "Yummy" (2024) and their "Best Of" compilation (1998), selling over 25 million albums worldwide. Brian Eno notably produced their album "Laid".

Manchester, England-born singer and lyricist Morrissey rose as lead singer of ’80s indie band the Smiths. He launched a solo career with Viva Hate (1988) and hits like “Suedehead” and “Everyday Is Like Sunday.”

The Devil Makes Three formed in Santa Cruz, California in 2002. Founded by childhood friends Pete Bernhard and Cooper McBean, they blend ragtime, country, folk, and punk, mixing Delta blues, prohibition-era jazz, and bluegrass with a punk edge.

An annual five-day music and community festival held at the RA Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, featuring an eclectic lineup of genres alongside local craft beer, artisan vendors, and family-friendly entertainment.
