Manchester-formed English rock band James, active since 1982, is celebrated for alternative and indie rock with anthemic melodies. Known for "Sit Down" and "Laid", they have sold over 25 million albums. Recent releases include "Yummy", "Be Opened by the Wonderful", and the compilation "Nothing But Love". They received a PRS for Music Icon Award for songwriting. Their dynamic live performances are a hallmark.
Liverpool's Jamie Webster, a folk singer-songwriter, is popular for his resonant "people's poet" style. Known for UK chart-topping albums 'We Get By' and 'Moments', he's celebrated for anthems that echo communal spirit and struggle. Collaborated with producer Dave Eringa.
Northern Irish alt-rock band Snow Patrol gained fame with their 2003 debut "Final Straw" and 2006's "Eyes Open," featuring the hit "Chasing Cars." They scored multi-platinum with "A Hundred Million Suns" and "Fallen Empires." Members include Nathan Connolly, Gary Lightbody, and Johnny McDaid.
Razorlight, known for hits like "America" and "Wire To Wire," led the 2000s indie-rock resurgence, achieving 3 Top 5 albums, 9 Platinums, and an NME Award. The classic lineup, reunited in 2021, has performed at major venues like London's Eventim Apollo and supported acts like Muse. Working with producer Youth, they recorded new material, including the post-punk inspired "Scared of Nothing." Sunderland-born Tom A. Smith is an indie and alternative rock musician known for his distinctive deep voice and energetic guitar-based sound. He gained early recognition performing at Glastonbury and supporting Elton John. An Apple Music Up Next Artist and Musos Breakthrough Artist award winner, his acclaimed singles include "Wolves," "Fashion," and "I Don't Blame You." He has collaborated with artists like Miles Kane and Barry Hyde.
