Paramaribo-born songwriter, artist and actor Jeangu Macrooy blends pop, soul, folk and indie. After moving to the Netherlands in 2014, he broke through with Brave Enough and High On You, earning Edison nominations and playing Lowlands and North Sea Jazz. He represented the Netherlands at Eurovision with Grow (2020) and Birth Of A New Age (2021), and later released Summer Moon and Young, Awkward & Lonely.
