Jeff Berlin, born in a musically talented family, emerged as a leading fusion bassist in the mid-'70s. Known for collaborations with Pat Martino, George Benson, and Bill Bruford, and for rejecting Van Halen. Founding member of Bass Institute of Technology, influenced by Jack Bruce, switches from violin prodigy to bass at 14. Recorded with giants across jazz and rock, settling in Florida, continuing education and performance.
