Mestrinho, from Itabaiana, Sergipe, Brazil, is a celebrated accordionist, singer, and composer. Known as a "disciple of Dominguinhos," he blends traditional Forró with jazz, funk, and rock. He earned Latin Grammys for "Mariana e Mestrinho" and "Dominguinho," a Prêmio da Música Brasileira, and was the first accordionist to perform solo at Rock in Rio. He has collaborated with Gilberto Gil, Elba Ramalho, and Ivete Sangalo.
