Melanie Baker

Newcastle-based artist Melanie Baker blends singer-songwriter sensibilities with riot grrrl energy, creating raw alt-rock with noisy guitars and anthemic choruses. Her witty, uncompromisingly honest lyrics explore queer identity, love, anxiety, and pain through a modern grunge lens.

Jodie Nicholson

Jodie Nicholson, from Newcastle, blends chamber-pop and alt-pop, exploring relationships and self-reflection. Known for rich harmonies and ethereal vocals, influenced by Daughter and Laura Marling. Notable for emotive live performances at major festivals and supporting acts like Emeli Sande.
