Johnny Hooker, a Pernambucan singer-songwriter, gained fame with his debut album "Eu Vou Fazer Uma Macumba pra Te Amarrar, Maldito!" His hits "Amor Marginal," "Volta," and "Alma Sebosa" featured in TV Globo novelas. This album won him the Prêmio da Música Brasileira for Best Singer and was named one of Rolling Stone's best albums of 2015.
