The Skints are a London four-piece formed in Northeast London in 2007. Fusing reggae, ska-punk, dub, grime, hip-hop, soul and dancehall, they broke out with Live, Breathe, Build, Believe (2009) and the Easy Star-released FM (2015).

Birmingham, England ska revival band formed in 1978, led by Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger. Their 1979 2-Tone single “Tears of a Clown” hit the U.K. Top 10. 1980’s I Just Can’t Stop It went gold; MTV boosted “Save It for Later.”

Aswad

Formed in Ladbroke Grove, West London in 1975, Aswad blended roots reggae with soul, funk and dub. They scored a U.K. pop chart No.1 with “Don’t Turn Around” and earned a Grammy nod for Rise and Shine.
