Ivan Neville, born in New Orleans, embodies the city's musical spirit with his funk band Dumpstaphunk. He's collaborated with Keith Richards and Bonnie Raitt. Part of the legendary Neville family, he's linked to iconic groups like The Meters and The Neville Brothers, known for their diverse range in funk, soul, and R&B.
The Soul Rebels, born from New Orleans' brass tradition, blend funk, soul, hip-hop, jazz, and pop. Known for explosive performances, they've collaborated with stars like Nas, Metallica, and Katy Perry. He leads Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, influenced by James Brown and Parliament-Funkadelic, gaining fame at the Newport Jazz Festival. Chuck Leavell, born in Birmingham, AL, is a renowned pianist and keyboardist known for playing with the Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers, and Eric Clapton. He co-founded Sea Level, contributed to hits like "Jessica," and released "Forever Blue." Leavell is also a passionate conservationist, running Charlane Plantation in GA with his wife.
New York-born Bernard Fowler, a versatile pop vocalist, worked with the Rolling Stones, Bootsy Collins, and Philip Glass. Known for hits like "Don't Make Me Wait," he collaborated with Mick Jagger, Herbie Hancock, and Adrian Sherwood. He fronted Tackhead, sang for the Stones' tours, and released his solo album, Friends with Privileges, in 2006.
