Katarzyna Nosowska is a Polish singer, songwriter, and author from Szczecin, widely recognized as the lead vocalist of the influential rock band Hey. Formed in 1992, the group became one of Poland's most popular alternative rock acts. In addition to her work with Hey, Nosowska launched a successful solo career in 1996 with her debut album puk. puk., exploring electronic, trip-hop, and experimental sounds in contrast to her band's rock style. One of the most decorated artists in Polish music history, she has won over 30 Fryderyk awards and has also found success as a writer, publishing several bestselling books of essays and reflections.
