Kayhan Kalhor

Kayhan Kalhor, born in Kermanshah, Iran, is a celebrated composer known for his Persian/Kurdish classical music. A kamancheh, setar, and Persian violin virtuoso, he collaborates with Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble and formed Ghazal with Shujaat Khan. Notable works include *Scattering Stars Like Dust*, *Night Silence Desert*, and several Grammy-nominated albums: *Without You*, *The Rain*, and *Faryad*. He has worked with Kronos Quartet and formed a project with Erdal Erzincan. His distinct fusion of traditional and modern music earned global acclaim.
