Kenichi Asai, born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, is a celebrated rock singer-songwriter and guitarist. He co-founded the influential garage rock band Blankey Jet City and later led Sherbets, Ajico, and Jude. Known for his distinctive "Benji sound," reverb-drenched guitar, and raw style, his discography includes albums like "Over Head Pop" (2024) and "Caramel Guerrilla" (2021).
