Kindred Spirits Orchestra, founded in 2009 in Markham, Ontario, Canada, is a civic orchestra renowned for its imaginative programming of classical and contemporary works, including rarely performed 20th-century pieces. Led by Kristian Alexander, it champions Canadian composers and features diverse musicians. The orchestra has received governmental awards for promoting Canadian music and community outreach. It was also the first Canadian orchestra to adopt a digital music library.
