It's renowned for its authentic musical storytelling, transforming adversity into a cathartic experience. The series features a rotating lineup of influential artists, blending gospel, blues, R&B, and classic soul for a deeply engaging and mature audience.
Baton Rouge bluesman Pokey Bear brings R&B-infused bayou soul with James Brown influence. One-third of Louisiana Blue Brothas (Love on the Bayou, 2014), he released Josephine Son Pokey (2014) and Mr. It Ain't Fair (2016).
King George, a Southern Soul and R&B artist from Hopkins, South Carolina, delivers smooth, old-school vocals. Known for party-centric anthems like "Keep On Rollin'" and "Too Long," he blends blues with modern production. His albums include "Juke Joint Music" and "Cookout Music." He has collaborated with artists such as Snoop Dogg and Tucka, gaining millions of streams.
Winnfield, Louisiana-born contemporary soul singer T.K. Soul (Terence Kimble) blends R&B traditions with hip-hop accents. He debuted with One Woman Man (2002) on his Soulful Records; albums include Love Games and Undisputed (No. 9 Blues chart).
Jawonn Smith, aka J-Wonn, is a Jackson, Mississippi contemporary southern R&B singer raised singing in church choirs. His 2013 regional hit I Got This Record led to the 2014 album on Savior Music Group and singles like I Need a Grown Woman.
