Trollfest

TrollfesT, formed in 2003 by John Espen Sagstad and Jostein Austvik, blends Norwegian folk with metal using accordion, banjo, and saxophone, known for vibrant, Balkan-influenced sound.

Finntroll

Pioneers of folk-metal, Finntroll, formed in Helsinki in 1997, blend death metal with Finnish folk. Known for albums like "Ur Jordens Djup," they incorporate joik chants. Debut "Midnattens Widunder" was released in 1999. "Jaktens Tid" hit Finnish charts in 2001. Despite founding member Teemu Raimoranta's death in 2003, they thrived with hits like "Nifelvind" and "Blodsvept." Lead vocalist Mathias Lillmåns joined in 2007, replacing Jan Jämsen, who continued as lyricist.
