Kraftwerk

Started in 1970 by Ralf Hutter and Florian Schneider in Dusseldorf, the multimedia project Kraftwerk pioneered electronic music with albums like Autobahn and Computer World. Combining synthetic sounds, visuals, and robotics, they heavily influenced electro, techno, and hip hop. Hutter received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and the group won a Grammy for 3-D The Catalogue.
