Laco Déczi

Laco Déczi, born Ladislav Déczi in Bernolákovo, Slovakia, is a renowned Slovak-American jazz trumpeter, composer, and painter. A leader of Jazz Celula New York, he is celebrated for his explosive hard bop, bebop, and Latin jazz fusion style, influenced by Clifford Brown. Déczi has collaborated with jazz greats like Elvin Jones and Dave Weckl. His discography includes albums such as "Sentimental Trumpet" and "Proton." He received the Czechoslovak Jazz Federation Award for his outstanding solo work.
