Rising from the '60s LA studio scene, he gained fame with the Crusaders and as a session musician for legends like Steely Dan and Michael Jackson. Carlton has earned multiple Grammy Awards, including for "Hill Street Blues." Despite a shooting incident, he continued his prolific career, collaborating with artists like Lee Ritenour and joining Fourplay. Notable for albums like "Discovery" and "Last Nite," Carlton remains a respected touring artist.

Larry Carlton: A Guitar Legend

Larry Carlton was named one of the "10 Greatest-Ever Session Guitarists" by Gibson Guitar! ROLLING STONE lists Carlton's tasty ascent on Steely Dan's "Kid Charlemagne" as one of the three best guitar licks in rock music while Guitar Player Magazine lists it as one of the "Most Influential Rock Solos Ever"! Carlton also won one of his GRAMMY® Awards in 1981 for the theme to "Hill Street Blues" (a collaboration with Mike Post).

Larry also received a "Lifetime Achievement Award" from Guitar Player Magazine and was presented the "Titan of Tone" Award from Premier Guitar Magazine at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.
