Bowling Green, Kentucky mandolin and fiddle innovator, Sam Bush helped pioneer progressive bluegrass as founder/leader of New Grass Revival and member of Strength in Numbers. His albums include King of My World and Storyman; he earned an Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award.
Formed in 1989 in Boulder, Colorado, Leftover Salmon are jamgrass pioneers, blending bluegrass, rock, Cajun, and roots music. Known for 1997’s Euphoria and 1999’s The Nashville Sessions; later albums include Aquatic Hitchhiker (2012) and Something Higher (2018).
Dan Tyminski, born in Vermont, is a renowned bluegrass musician known for his banjo, mandolin, and vocals. He's collaborated with Alison Krauss, Avicii, and was George Clooney's singing voice in "O Brother Where Art Thou." Tyminski's hit "Hey Brother" with Avicii highlighted his versatile talent.
Nashville artist Lindsay Lou is known for captivating vocals and a style blending bluegrass roots with folk, Americana, and soulful pop. She honed her sound with bluegrass band Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys and Michigan supergroup Sweet Water Warblers.
Tim O'Brien Band is an American progressive bluegrass and roots music ensemble formed by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tim O'Brien. The group, which features prominent acoustic musicians including O'Brien's wife Jan Fabricius, soared to the top of the bluegrass charts in 2019 with their eponymous debut album. They are celebrated for shaping diverse folk, country, and Celtic influences into a cohesive string band sound.
Arlo McKinley, born in Cincinnati, started in music singing at church. Influenced by George Jones and Otis Redding, he taught himself guitar. Transitioning from delivering tuxedos to music, he honed his songwriting, leading to a career that includes collaborations and releases with Oh Boy Records.
Airshow is a Nashville-based jam band blending acoustic and electric sounds. Formed by friends Cody Chelius and Steve Gallagher with Bill Baker and Alphonso Wesby. Releases include albums Shimmer (2021), Up in the Clouds (2019), and EPs Lightbulb (2017) and Anubis (2020).
HuDost, an Electric-Folk/Americana ensemble, blends wild, refined performances and humor. Their indie album hit #4 in Canada, won the Independent Music Award, and they've toured globally.
