Olympia, WA's Pigeon Pit, led by Lomes Oleander, is a folk-punk project known for its raw, DIY sound and "maximalist journaling" songs. They explore themes of self-acceptance, queerness, and political struggle, blending psychedelic country and pop punk. Popular songs include "Nights Like These" and "Milk Crates." Albums like "Crazy Arms" and "Leash Aggression" showcase their distinctive style. They have appeared on NPR's Tiny Desk.
Lightnin’ Luke is an underground folk artist known for powerful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and wild fiddle playing. A member of The Bridge City Sinners, he collaborates with Yes Ma’am and appears on much of Portland label Flail Records’ catalog.
Hailing from New Orleans, Holy Locust formed in 2017 as an acoustic folk punk band. They blend punk energy with global folk traditions, known for thought-provoking lyrics and relentless touring. Their albums include "Fever Dream" (2018) and the critically acclaimed "Beneath The Turning Wheel" (2023), championing resistance and equality.
