Johannes Brahms, born in Hamburg, Germany, was a pivotal Romantic era composer. He masterfully blended classical forms with rich harmonies and lyrical melodies in his symphonies, concertos, and chamber music. Celebrated for works like "Hungarian Dances" and his "Lullaby," he is considered one of classical music's "Three Bs" alongside Bach and Beethoven, leaving an enduring legacy.
Louis Langrée is a French conductor who serves as the Director of the Théâtre national de l'Opéra-Comique and Music Director Laureate of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Born in Mulhouse in 1961, he has conducted many of the world's most prestigious orchestras and opera houses, and he previously spent over two decades as the Music Director of the Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center.
