Born in Texas, singer-songwriter Lyle Lovett helped pioneer alternative country and Americana with eclectic albums like his 1986 self-titled debut and Pontiac, blending country, folk, jazz, and blues. He won a Grammy for Best Country Album for The Road to Ensenada.

Leo Kottke

10 concerts

Acoustic guitar pioneer Leo Kottke and Phish bassist Mike Gordon formed an unlikely partnership, creating intricate instrumental music. Their third collaboration, the album Noon, features eleven warmly askew tracks blending late-night melancholy with a summer lilt.

John Hiatt

Indianapolis-born songwriter blending rock, blues, folk, country and R&B. His cult hit Bring the Family (1987) was his first charting album. His songs were widely covered; Three Dog Night took “Sure as I’m Sittin’ Here” to No. 16.
