Leo Kottke, an acoustic guitar pioneer, and Mike Gordon, Phish’s bassist, collaborate on Noon, their first new album in 15 years. The 11-track release blends late-night melancholy with a summer lilt, featuring intricate, idiosyncratic playing.

John Hiatt

Indianapolis-born songwriter blending rock, blues, folk, country and R&B. His cult hit Bring the Family (1987) was his first charting album. His songs were widely covered; Three Dog Night took “Sure as I’m Sittin’ Here” to No. 16.
