German tenor Jonas Kaufmann has sung 70+ roles at major houses including La Scala, Covent Garden and the Met. A noted Lieder interpreter, he has won 11 ECHO/OPUS Klassik awards, multiple Singer of the Year honors, and was named Chevalier de l’Ordre de l’Art et des Lettres.
