Mala Rodriguez, born María Rodríguez Garrido in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, is a Latin Grammy-winning pioneer of Spanish urban music. She blends Latin hip hop, reggaeton, and flamenco, known for her powerful voice and socially-minded lyrics. She was the first female to win Best Urban Album and Song at the Latin Grammys and the first urban artist to win Spain's National Music Award. Collaborations include Calle 13 and Nelly Furtado.
