Marcus Roberts Trio and Catherine Russell

Three-time GRAMMY-nominated jazz vocalist Catherine Russell released her first live album Live At Jazz At Lincoln Center, recorded in the Appel Room. Daughter of Luis Russell and Carline Ray, she sings swing, blues, and early jazz, reviving vintage gems.

Marcus Roberts Trio, with pianist Marcus Roberts (Jacksonville, Florida), bassist Rodney Jordan, and drummer Jason Marsalis, redefines jazz. Known for virtuosic style and telepathic communication, they blend jazz and classical idioms. Roberts, a Helen Keller Award recipient, was profiled on CBS's "60 Minutes". Notable albums include "Portraits in Blue" and "New Orleans Meets Harlem, Vol. 1". Roberts also collaborated with Wynton Marsalis.
