LineUp

Marshall Crenshaw, born in Detroit, is a renowned pop songwriter, guitarist, and performer. Known for his classic pop style, his debut album in 1982 achieved critical acclaim. He portrayed Buddy Holly in La Bamba, co-wrote "Til I Hear It from You" for the Gin Blossoms, and created songs for the film Walk Hard. Crenshaw's work has been covered by numerous artists, and he released acclaimed albums like Miracle of Science. His collaborations include work with the MC5 and Los Straitjackets. Recently, he began reissuing his Warner Bros. catalog.
Formed in 1973 in NYC, the Dictators were a pioneering proto-punk band known for loud, fast rock influenced by '60s American garage rock and British Invasion pop. Fronted by Handsome Dick Manitoba and featuring Scott Kempner and Ross "the Boss" Funichello, they released iconic albums like "The Dictators Go Girl Crazy!" Despite mixed critical response and label issues, they influenced punk and hard rock. Members pursued solo paths, but the band reunited occasionally, notably releasing "D.F.F.D" in 2001. They're celebrated for their fusion of hard rock and punk snark.
