Karine Polwart, a Scottish folk singer from Banknock, Stirlingshire, blends jazz, country, pop, and traditional Scots music. Rising to fame with Malinky and Battlefield Band, she went solo in 2004. Known for songs like "The Sun's Comin' Over the Hill" and albums like Scribbled in Chalk, she's a multi-award winner. Collaborated with Lau, sibling Steve Polwart, and Inge Thomson, she also excelled with The Burns Unit and her theatre piece, Wind Resistance.
