Canadian singer/songwriter Matthew Good gained fame in the mid-'90s with the alt-rock Matthew Good Band, known for hits like "Apparitions." The group achieved Juno-winning, double-platinum success before disbanding in 2002. Good's solo work, starting with Avalanche in 2003, showcased a brooding style with collaborations like the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. His albums, such as the Juno-winning Vancouver, often saw collaborations with producer Warne Livesey. Known for his stylistic risks, Good's works feature influences from alt-rock icons and collaborations with Holly McNarland.
