Biography

GRAMMY® Award-Winning & Nominated Trumpeter & Composer MAURICE MOBETTA BROWN is a mastermind. When he picks up his horn his soulful melodies soar into a rarefied space, producing his own distinctive sound. The Chicago area native won the national "Miles Davis Trumpet Competition" as a teenager and then established himself in New York by recording with:

Notable Works

His second album, 'The Cycle of Love', was named by NPR and Huffington Post as one of the "Best Albums of the Year". Following its release, he was invited to join the Tedeschi Trucks Band where he won a GRAMMY® for his horn arrangements on the band's debut album, 'Revelator'.

Collaborations

Brown has joined 9x-GRAMMY® Award-Winning superstar Anderson Paak multiple times on worldwide tours, performed with jazz megastar Kamasi Washington for numerous sold out shows, and performed on many of Legendary Jazz Saxophonist Kenny Garrett's albums.
