Formed in Newcastle, Maxïmo Park is a pop band known for their hooky, melodic songs and socio-political lyricism. Their multi-platinum debut album, A Certain Trigger, earned a Mercury nomination in 2005. Their seventh album, Nature Always Wins, reached number two on the UK charts.

Melanie Baker

Newcastle-based artist Melanie Baker blends singer-songwriter sensibilities with riot grrrl energy, creating raw alt-rock with noisy guitars and anthemic choruses. Her witty, uncompromisingly honest lyrics explore queer identity, love, anxiety, and pain through a modern grunge lens.
