Michael McGoldrick and John McCusker

Michael McGoldrick, from Manchester, is a versatile multi-instrumentalist and composer known for blending Irish traditional music with jazz, funk, African, and Indian styles. A master of wooden flute, low whistles, and uilleann pipes, he's collaborated with artists like Mark Knopfler, Vicente Amigo, and Julie Fowlis. His notable works include the solo album "Fused" and collaborations such as "The Wishing Tree." He's been a key player in the Transatlantic Sessions and with Mark Knopfler since 2009.

Born near Glasgow, John McCusker excelled in music from a young age, mastering the fiddle and other instruments. A former member of the Battlefield Band, he's worked with Linda Thompson and Teenage Fanclub, produced albums for Kate Rusby, whom he married, and launched acclaimed solo albums. Winner of the Spirit of Scotland Award for Music.
