The Original Lakeside is an American funk band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 1969. They are widely recognized for their 1980 number-one R&B hit Fantastic Voyage, infectious grooves, and distinctively themed album covers and live costumes.

Midnight Star

Formed at Kentucky State University in 1976, technofunk/R&B group Midnight Star broke through with double-platinum No Parking on the Dance Floor (1983) and hits like Freak-A-Zoid, Operator, Midas Touch and Don’t Rock the Boat.

Club Nouveau

Club Nouveau, formed in 1986 in Sacramento by Jay King, hit fame with tracks like "Lean on Me" & "Why You Treat Me So Bad." Known for disco-funk style, they topped charts but disbanded after lineup changes.
