He is known for his observational comedy, often exploring his refugee and Muslim-American experiences. Amer has multiple Netflix specials, including "The Vagabond" and "Mohammed in Texas," and created the Peabody Award-winning Netflix series "Mo." He also appeared in "Ramy" and the film "Black Adam."
