Mocedades is a Spanish singing group formed in 1969 and still active in 2025. In 1969 they sent a demo tape to famous composer Juan Carlos Calderon who was immediately interested in taking the group under his wing and gave them the name "Mocedades" (which means "youth" in Spanish).
The group skyrocketed to fame when they represented Spain in the 1973 Eurovision Song Festival with the song "Eres tu" composed for them by J.C. Calderon. They finished in second place, but the following year the song became a world hit and one of the very few Spanish language songs to reach the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in March 1974.

However, none of them reached the heights of "Eres tu," which, to this day, remains a favorite in airplay lists of Easy Listening radio stations in the USA and has been featured in many films.
