Jim Ward began making heavier, riff-laden music in 2017 and reconnected with Sparta bandmate Matt Miller to create Trust The River, Sparta’s first album since 2006’s Threes, with Cully Symington, Gabriel Gonzalez, and producer David Garza.

Chastity

Chastity is the musical project of Brandon Williams from Whitby, Ontario, Canada. His genre-bending sound blends post-hardcore, noise rock, alt-rock, emo, grungegaze, and melodic hardcore. He released a trilogy of albums: "Death Lust" (2018), "Home Made Satan" (2019), and "Suffer Summer" (2022). A self-titled LP followed in September 2024. Chastity is currently touring.

Toronto emo quartet Moneen formed in 1999 after Perfectly Normal dissolved. They released the EP The Smaller Chairs for the 1900s (2000), albums Theory of Harmonial Value (2001) and Are We Really Happy... (2003, first for Vagrant), plus a split EP with Alexisonfire.
