Minneapolis-based punk rock band Motion City Soundtrack, known for hits like “Everything Is Alright,” earned gold status, toured globally, and collaborated with Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump.
School of Rock, founded in Philadelphia in 1998, pioneered performance-based music education. It teaches guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocals, blending private lessons with group rehearsals and live shows. Known for its patented method using classic rock songs, it builds confidence and teamwork. The program has earned multiple Global Franchise Awards.
Minneapolis-based Rocket Club blends Americana, country, and rock with rich harmonies. Known for hits like "North Country," they've charted on Billboard and toured with top Nashville acts.
Ber is an American indie pop singer-songwriter from Walker, Minnesota. Known for heartfelt lyrics and relatable storytelling, her music blends alt-pop shimmer with country warmth. Her viral hit "Meant to Be" launched her career. Popular EPs include "And I'm Still Thinking About That," "Halfway," and "Room for You." She released her debut album, "Good, Like It Should Be," and collaborated with artists like Charlie Oriain.

Event Overview

On Saturday, June 20, Mystic Lake Amphitheater will debut in Shakopee with a $20 opening night celebration featuring a curated lineup of homegrown talent.

Setting the Stage

The event celebrates the opening of the Twin Cities Metro's new home for summer concerts with an evening of Minnesota music, comedy and community.

Artists who will help set the stage include Motion City Soundtrack, Ber, and Rocket Club, along with a performance by the next generation of talent from School of Rock as the first act to take the amphitheater's stage.

St. Paul native and Saturday Night Live cast member Tommy Brennan will host.

A headliner will be announced at a later date.

The festivities will run from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m., with a portion of proceeds benefiting The Salt Cure Restaurant Recovery Fund, supporting Minnesota's restaurant workers and businesses.
