LineUp

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, based in Maryland, is celebrated for innovative performances and acclaimed recordings under Marin Alsop, including works by Gershwin and Bernstein. Known for educational outreach like OrchKids, it performs for over 350,000 annually and was the first U.S. orchestra with year-round venues in two metro areas.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) was an Austrian composer of the Classical period. A child prodigy, he created over 600 works across symphonies, operas, and concertos. His music is celebrated for its clarity, balance, and melodic beauty, profoundly influencing Western music and remaining widely performed today.
Mozart's Symphony No. 41 in C major, "Jupiter," completed in Vienna in 1788, is his final and longest symphony. A masterpiece of the Classical era, it's celebrated for its majestic grandeur, energetic style, and the ingenious fugal finale. The posthumous "Jupiter" nickname perfectly captures its commanding character and enduring legacy as a pillar of classical music.
