Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), born in Salzburg, Austria, was a classical child prodigy. He composed over 600 masterpieces across genres like opera, symphony, and chamber music. Known for his elegant, balanced style, his famous works include "The Marriage of Figaro," "Don Giovanni," "The Magic Flute," and Symphony No. 40. He is considered one of Western music's greatest composers.
Champaign-Urbana, Illinois-born violinist Gil Shaham moved to Israel as a child and debuted with the Israel Philharmonic in 1981. A Deutsche Grammophon artist and founder of Canary Classics (2004), he won a Grammy with André Previn and earned the Avery Fisher Prize (2008).
Mozart's Symphony No. 41 in C major, "Jupiter," completed in Vienna in 1788, is his final and longest symphony.
