Formed in 1981, Napalm Death pioneered the grindcore genre, pushing metal to extremes with merciless brutality and sociopolitical lyrics. Their influential 1987 debut Scum was followed by acclaimed releases like Fear, Emptiness, Despair and Utilitarian.

Weedeater

Formed in the mid-’90s in Wilmington, NC, Weedeater is a sludgecore band led by vocalist/bassist “Dixie” Dave Collins (ex-Buzzov*en). Albums include And Justice for Y’All (2001), Sixteen Tons (2002) and God Luck and Good Speed (2007).

Dark Sky Burial

Dark Sky Burial, created by Shane Embury of Napalm Death, offers a reflective, ever-changing sound far from his metal roots. Known for haunting melodies and abrasive textures, DSB sets a unique, bold tone, praised for exploring the unknown.
