LineUp

Miles Davis (1926–1991) was an American jazz trumpeter, bandleader, and composer widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the history of 20th-century music. Known for his restless innovation, he was at the forefront of major stylistic developments in jazz, including cool jazz, modal jazz, and jazz fusion.
NDR Bigband is a European jazz orchestra known for its distinctive 17-musician sound and genre-crossing, multicultural approach. It has played 1,600 concerts, released 120 records, and toured widely with Al Jarreau, Bobby McFerrin, Chet Baker and others.
Sketches of Spain is Miles Davis' 1960 album, recorded in New York City, a landmark Third Stream work. It masterfully fuses jazz with Spanish classical and folk music, including flamenco, through Gil Evans' acclaimed orchestrations. Featuring tracks like "Concierto de Aranjuez," the album earned a Grammy Award and is celebrated for its groundbreaking sound and Davis' expressive trumpet.
