Puerto Rico’s El Gran Combo, led by Rafael Ithier, is a legendary salsa band known for hits like "El Menu" and Grammy-nominated albums. They’re called "Ambassadors of Our Music."
Grupo Niche, una icónica orquesta de salsa colombiana, se formó en Bogotá en 1979 por Jairo Varela. Destacados por éxitos como “Una Aventura” y “Cali Ají,” su estilo impactó América Latina. Varela falleció en 2012, pero su legado sigue vivo. Ganadores de premios Grammy en 2020, son reconocidos internacionalmente.
Born in New York, Willie Colón is a hard-edged salsa trombonist, singer, and producer known for hits and collaborations that shaped Latin music.
Born in Puerto Rico and raised in the U.S., Tito Nieves, a salsa luminary, started with Cimarron and Héctor Lavoe, went solo in 1986, and soared with "I Like It Like That" in 1997. Known for albums like Fabricando Fantasias and bilingual hits, Nieves consistently tops charts and collaborates with icons like Sergio George.
Venezuela-born Oscar D'León, "El León de la Salsa," blends textured vocals with improvisation. Known for hits like "Pensando en Ti," he led bands la Dimensión Latina and la Salsa Mayor. Influenced by Beny Moré and Willie Colón, he’s a top salsa performer worldwide, celebrated for lively shows and big-band tours.
