The Tubes, formed in Phoenix, Arizona, were known for satirical, theatrical rock shows with characters like Quay Lewd. Hits include "White Punks on Dope" and "She's a Beauty." Collaborated with Todd Rundgren and achieved success with "Completion Backwards Principle." Reunited in 1993 and continued touring, despite various breakups.
NJ band Dramarama, blending hard rock, alternative, and punk, was formed in 1983 by John Easdale. Known for the hit "Anything Anything" and albums like Cinema Verite. Despite potential, they never had a major breakthrough, disbanding in 1994 but reforming in 2004.
The Untouchables, a pioneering West Coast ska band, debuted in 1984 with "Live & Let Dance." Known for blending R&B covers with reggae rhythms, they recorded "Wild Child" in 1985 and "Agent Double O Soul" in 1989. The group featured Chuck Askerneese and Clyde Grimes among others and released their final live album, "Decade of Dance," in 1990.
