Orchestre de chambre de Paris and Thomas Hengelbrock

Thomas Hengelbrock, born in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, is a conductor and violinist known for historical Baroque and contemporary music. Founder of the Balthasar Neumann Choir and Ensemble, he worked with the Freiburger Barockorchester and held roles including director of the Volksoper Wien and principal conductor of the NDR Symphony Orchestra. His collaborations include working with Concentus Musicus Wien and soprano Julie Fuchs. Hengelbrock has released recordings on Sony Classical and Deutsche Harmonia Mundi.
