LineUp

The Grammy-nominated Oregon Symphony, established in 1896, is the oldest orchestra on the West Coast. Renowned for its adventurous programming, it blends classical music with diverse genres like jazz, indie, and hip hop. The Symphony is celebrated for innovative community engagement and collaborations with artists such as The Decemberists, esperanza spalding, and Rick Ross. It is recognized as an Oregon 'History Maker'.
Aaron Copland was an American composer, composition teacher, writer, and conductor who was referred to by his peers and critics as the "Dean of American Music." Known for creating a distinctly American sound by incorporating jazz and folk elements, his most famous works include the ballets Appalachian Spring, Billy the Kid, and Rodeo, as well as Fanfare for the Common Man.
Kahane’s fifth solo LP, Magnificent Bird (his second for Nonesuch Records), was written during a self-imposed year offline and features collaborators including Andrew Bird, Chris Thile, Amelia Meath, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw.
