Tune-Yards’ Merrill Garbus and bandmate/partner Brenner recorded their sixth album Better Dreaming as a duo, built around Garbus’ drum looping and rhythm-building. It features some of their smoothest, funkiest, direct pop, with their 3-year-old singing on “Limelight”.

Os Mutantes

Os Mutantes, a Brazilian psychedelic band, was formed by the Baptista brothers and Rita Lee. Known for musical experimentation and Tropicalia ties, they backed Gilberto Gil. Their iconic albums include "Os Mutantes" and "Divina Comédia". Arnaldo and Sérgio crafted a playful blend of pop, distortion, and studio tricks. They avoided reunion requests, even from Kurt Cobain, until reuniting in 2006.
