The Zutons, formed in Liverpool in 2002, are known for their blend of indie rock and psychedelic pop. With hits like "Valerie," later covered by Amy Winehouse, their debut album "Who Killed... The Zutons" went 2x Platinum and earned a Mercury Prize nomination. Their second album, "Tired of Hanging Around," reached #2 in the UK. The band collaborated with producers like Ian Broudie and Stephen Street, and disbanded after their third album in 2008.
Paul Heaton, born in Bromborough, UK, was the frontman of The Housemartins and The Beautiful South. Known for his satirical lyrics and infectious melodies, he achieved hits like "Happy Hour" and "A Little Time." Heaton's collaborations, including with Jacqui Abbott, saw UK chart-topping success with albums like "Manchester Calling" and "N.K. Pop." A solo career included "The Mighty Several" with producer Ian Broudie. Heaton's charm lies in blending wry commentary with diverse musical styles.
