Peat and Diesel and RuMac

Stornoway three-piece Peat & Diesel mix folk, punk and rock with tongue-in-cheek island-life lyrics. They broke via social media and the viral song “Western Isles,” released 2019 debut Uptown Fank, and won Scots Trad Music Awards Live Act of the Year.

RuMac (Ruairidh Maclean) is a Scottish accordion player from Ullapool. He blends traditional Scottish music with folk-punk and heavy metal, known for anarchic, energetic performances. His debut album, "The Bloody Box," features twisted covers like AC/DC's "Thunderstruck." RuMac gained recognition from Britain's Got Talent and has opened for Peat and Diesel, also earning a Scots Trad Music Awards nomination.
