Perfektomat and Retrogott

Cologne-based German rapper, DJ, and producer Kurt Tallert, known as Retrogott, delivers witty, often political hip-hop. His style features jazzy, sample-based boom-bap beats, influenced by 80s and 90s American hip-hop. He collaborates frequently with Hulk Hodn, Kool Keith, and Fokis. Notable albums include "Vom strengen Geruch des lockeren Lebens" and "Universal Dialect". Tallert earned the Uwe-Johnson-Förderpreis in 2025 for his book "Spur und Abweg".
