Susan Werner, born near Manchester, Iowa, is a multi-talented singer-songwriter known for her eclectic contemporary folk style. Her debut album, "Last of the Good Straight Girls" (1995), garnered attention with social commentary and introspective lyrics. Influenced by Nanci Griffith, Joni Mitchell, and jazz artists, she performed widely in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Collaborated with Fernando Saunders and Mitchell Froom. Werner holds a degree in voice from the University of Iowa and studied opera at Temple University. Her work includes personal diaries and covers, gaining acclaim on adult alternative radio.
Peter Mulvey, born in Milwaukee, blends folk, rock, and jazz. Notable songs include "Take Down Your Flag," with Ani DiFranco. He won the Boston Acoustic Underground and collaborated with David Goodrich. His album Rapture was Boston Award-nominated. Signature Sounds released The Trouble with Poets.
