Susan Werner, born near Manchester, Iowa, is a multi-talented singer-songwriter known for her eclectic contemporary folk style. Her debut album, "Last of the Good Straight Girls" (1995), garnered attention with social commentary and introspective lyrics. Influenced by Nanci Griffith, Joni Mitchell, and jazz artists, she performed widely in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Collaborated with Fernando Saunders and Mitchell Froom. Werner holds a degree in voice from the University of Iowa and studied opera at Temple University. Her work includes personal diaries and covers, gaining acclaim on adult alternative radio.
Peter Mulvey, folk-rock-jazz singer/songwriter, began busking in Boston's subways in 1991. Known for albums like "Deep Blue" and "The Trouble with Poets," won Boston Acoustic Underground in 1994. Collaborated with Ani DiFranco, David Goodrich; famous for "Take Down Your Flag."
